These pennies are made at D Mint and have a D Mint mark on the back side below the date. The 1971  D mint pennies have a value of about one cent due to the larger number creation. 1971 Penny Double Die Obverse Error 

This type of error commonly exists in 1971 no mint mark penny and 1971 S proof pennies. The double die obverse error exists on the front and is defined as the duplication of different components on coins due to a die strike on coins.
