1916 Barber dime

The 1916 barber dimes are silver coins made by designer engraver Charles E. Barber’s design. The coins are made through competition. The front side design of coins is seen as Morgan dollars, and the back side is like the Seated Liberty dime. The Barber dime was made from 1892 to 1916; dimes were replaced with Mercury dimes in 1916.

The front side of the 1916 Mercury dime comes with a liberty photo wearing a winged Phrygian cap. The liberty curls on the head at the top of the coin and the motto IN GOD WE TRUST are also written. The designer’s initials, AW, are also written, and the minting date is 1916.

This side of coins comes with fasces, which is a battle axe connected with a bundle of twigs. The olive branches are also seen. The country name is also written there and ONE DIME denominations. The motto E Pluribus Unum is also seen.
