Sinnock to make a design for a new half-dollar as a commemoration of Benjamin Franklin.

The P mint made about 13,188,203 half dollars in 195 and they have a value range of about ten to twelve dollars for low grades. The high-rated coins are about 13 to 230 dollars and the MS67 grade is about $2,000 to $2,400 for one.

1954-S Half Dollar Value

The 1954 S half dollars are not famous for collectors. The S mint made 4,993,400 half dollars. it was last year when Franklin Half Dollar was made then after 10 years in 1965 again made.

The MS66 grade and higher were in large numbers since many coins were preserved in tools and released in circulation. Due to poor strikes, the Full Bell Line 1954-S series is extremely rare.

Circulated 1954-S half-dollars have a value range of 15 to 18 dollars. MS62 grades are 22 dollars and MS65 are 55 dollars.
